Ravi Shanker Gunda
- Animation Production Manager
Before coming to work on bro'Town, Ravi was working as Technical Director/Head of IT at Heart Entertainment Private Limited (India).

Ravi is enjoying working at Firehorse Films. Working in this studio, brimming with energy, makes him think of the beginning of Warner Bros animation in the early 40’s. In particular, he says that it reminds him of the infamous 'Termite Terrace' (the nickname for an old building on Sunset Boulevard where the Looney Tunes animated cartoons were created from 1935 to 1937).

Ravi hopes that one day Firehorse might emerge as one of the leaders in the industry!

We took this chance to ask him a few quick questions about the show.

Favourite Episode:

What are your dreams/hopes for bro’Town?
I would like to see the bro'Town series creating tremors of success around the globe, as it has in NZ! And it would be great to see an Indian version of bro'Town, where this kind of outrageous comedy is very rare!

What can we expect from Series 3?
bro'Town will be back in full swing. More laughs (it’s obvious), and also more quality in all aspects!!!

New Arrivals
Ravi invited a few of his a few of his ex-colleagues and friends to come over to New Zealand to work on bro’Town Series 3.

“As there is a severe shortage of good and experienced animators in New Zealand we need animators with more experience and international exposure," he says.

“Working with them makes me feel at home, and I’m having fun working on this wonderful show with my friends!”

We thought we’d take this opportunity to introduce you to two of them - Sasi Kumar and Ram Mohan.

Sasi Kumar
- Animator
A few months ago Sasi Kumar was working as an animation tutor at Color Chips Entertainment Ltd.

The opportunity to work in a new continent, in a new place with new people was part of the reason that Sasi decided to make the move to New Zealand. However, the prospect of working on bro’Town itself was a big drawcard.

Before coming over Sasi had realised that bro’Town was big in New Zealand, and this was confirmed as he came through Immigration. When the Immigration Officer found out that Sasi was going to work on bro’Town, Sasi says that his eyes lit up and he started talking about how much he loved the show.

Sasi is really enjoying working on the show, and believes that series 3 is going to be another good series. He says that his favourite characters are Mrs Tapili and Mack. He loves the design of Mrs Tapili, and enjoys Mack’s outrageous behaviour!

Ram Mohan
- Animator
Ram Mohan was working at RVML on the animated feature film ‘Lava-Kusa’ before coming to work on bro’Town.

He jumped at the chance to work on New Zealand's first animated sitcom, seeing it as an opportunity to get international exposure. In fact, he hopes that his experience here will lead to other overseas opportunities in the future.

Ram thinks that bro'Town is a very funny programme, and is enjoying working on the show. He says that his favourite characters are Jeff da Maori and Valea.

He is also loving living in New Zealand. He recently went up to the top of Mt Eden to check out the view of Auckland, and has also visited Piha. He thinks that New Zealand is a very beautiful country.
