bro’Town’s global audience continues to grow as the boys take on Russia for the first time ever! All five seasons of bro’Town will be screening on Russian TV Network 2x2, a free-to-air broadcaster in Moscow!
2x2 Network Acquisitions spokesperson Elena Timofeeva said she was excited to be exposing bro’Town to a brand new Eastern European audience. Elena says,
“bro’Town has amazing well thought through characters and interesting stories to follow. It’s got humour, irony and teases about a lot of things that people are too sensitive about. … this highly-rated much loved
prime-time series perfectly hits our target audience - young adults.”
The Russian Network has a core ‘Kidult’ audience and specialises in screening animated series, making bro’Town a perfect fit!
The show’s producer Elizabeth Mitchell says,
“Russia’s a really awesome sale for us, especially as 2x2 seem to really get the show … which is not necessarily what we’d have expected from the Eastern Bloc!”
Firehorse Films is also very pleased to continue their relationship with Australian Network NITV (National Indigenous Television). Series 1 successfully debuted last year on NITV and received great feedback, prompting NITV to pick up Series Two which is set to premiere next month on Thursday 22nd October.
And the boys from Morningside are flying high as Air New Zealand has picked up the latest series for their inflight entertainment in the lead up to the Christmas period.
