Success at the Qantas Awards

The team at Firehorse Films is thrilled to announce that bro’Town’s designer Ant Sang’s awesome work was recognised at the Qantas Film and Television Awards!

The awards were presented during two events over the weekend. The Craft Awards lunch on Friday celebrated the achievements of those providing the expertise and support needed to make the industry thrive, with more than 21 categories awarded.

“I was thrilled and genuinely surprised to win the award on Friday,” said Ant Sang.
“It's a great acknowledgement of all the hard work our design team put into Series Four”

The red carpet was rolled out the following night at Auckland’s Civic Theatre, where the remaining winners were announced at a glamorous awards ceremony.

bro’Town was a finalist in two categories – ‘Best Comedy Programme’ (I'm Going to Limbo, I May be Some Time) and ‘Best Script - Drama/Comedy Programme’ (The Artful Dadger), but we weren’t surprised when the hilarious ‘Eating Media Lunch’ took out Best Comedy and we were really pleased that their work had been acknowledged. It was a well deserved and overdue win!

And while we would have been ecstatic to beat Outrageous Fortune in the Best Script category, we knew it was a longshot and congratulate the talented Rachel Lang.

bro’Town Series 5 is shaping up brilliantly, and we’re looking forward to entering it into next year’s Qantas Film and Television Awards.

Top Dogs!
