Some tougher questions...

What were you doing before bro’Town?
Looking for hope.

What did you think when the idea of bro’Town was first put to you?
I’ve found it!

What has it been like working on bro’Town?
Well, it’s never been like work to me. It’s challenging at times, but 99% of the time it’s great fun! I’ve followed the Naked’s Theatre shows so when I learned they were turning it into an animation show I knew I had to be part of it.

How have you found the reaction to bro'Town?
Mixed reactions, but overall warm and receptive. A sense of humour not catered for in mainstream TV is finally getting represented - a long time coming.

What has it been like directing this series?
This is definitely a dream job for me, you get to take funny scripts and visualise how it’s going to look on TV. I really enjoy working with our team to produce the final product. It’s magic!!

What has been the hardest/most challenging thing about it?
It is hard to find enough experienced people in the 2d animation field. We have to source off shore talent when we should be doing it here.

What was the easiest thing about it?
Coming to work.

What have been your highlights while working on the show?
Working with so many talented people.

What is your favourite episode?
Sionerella (Series 1)

Who is your favourite character and why?
Sione. He’s a classic

Do you relate to any of the characters?
Yeah, because of their friendships.

What is your favourite line/quote from the show?
A pumpkin for a carriage and mice as footmen… (Sione)
The bus stop outside… what a dick! (Valea)

What are your dreams/hopes for bro’Town?
To keep representing!!

How is the production of Series 3 going?
It’s going.

What can we expect from Series 3?
Great homegrown Kiwi entertainment.
