Design
The design of the characters is crucial, because if the characters don’t look good, nothing on the screen will look good. Our team of nine designers create characters, props and backgrounds for all the different episodes and scenarios.

Some members of the team design the characters, and others clean up the designs – making sure all lines are closed or joined up, and that everything is tidy and ‘on-model’. Then each character needs to be ‘turned around’. This is the process of drawing a character (or a prop) from front-on, profile and back views.

For the main characters, the designers also produce ‘expressions’ – detailed drawings of how the characters looks when they are angry, happy, excited and so on – so that the animators have a guide to work to.

We thought we’d take this opportunity to introduce you to bro’Town’s designer, and one of our awesome animators!

Asians are Cool!
bro’Town may have some cool Asians – Wong from Hong Kong, his brother White, Grasshopper and Sina and Mila’s Korean friend Mulan, just to name a few – but here at the office we have some pretty cool Asians too!

Meet Ant Sang (bro’Town’s designer) and Jin Cho (assistant designer, background artist and layout artist).
